The performance of the top 5 communication apps on a unified platform in South Africa during the second quarter of 2024 showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 314K in late April before gradually declining to approximately 109K by the end of June. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, hovering around 21M throughout the quarter.
